ENGINEERED CONCRETE FLOOR SYSTEMS

Joint Protection

Australasia's leader in concrete joint protection systems, from the toughest Armour Edging Systems to Epoxy Repair.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Lesa Armour Joint has three distinct functions.

  • It Defines Movement Location.
The full depth sheet-metal form creates a complete break through the slab. This ensures that shrinkage movement will appear at this location.
  • It Gives Load Transfer.
Plate dowels are built in, and these give efficient load transfer across the joint.
  • It Armours The Joint.
Two steel bars which are anchored into the concrete, one on each side of the joint, provide edge protection from joint spalling.

ECONOMICAL

Lesa Armour Joint is economical, because it is used at such wide spacing. Sawcut joints, if required, are tied closed by continuous reinforcing and usually do not need dowels. Many steel fibre reinforced floors do not require sawcuts between the movement joints.
